Trump's Disdain For Women Is Impossible To Ignore

Trump's history objectifying, violating, threatening, mocking, and otherwise harassing women is long, ugly, and speaks for itself. A nation that has not had a female leader in 230 years deserves a leader who, if not a woman, at the very least regards them as equals to be respected and relied upon.

Instead, Trump has repeatedly engaged in sexual assault. More than 30 women, sometimes minors at the time of the incidents alleged, have claimed he aggressively molested or even penetrated them without consent. Among those are his former wife Ivana, whose rape Trump defended by insisting that spousal rape is impossible. Several children have also alleged statutory rape, a high probability given his oft-overlooked relationship with Jeffrey Epstein even after the latter was convicted of sex offenses.

This is merely the tip of the iceberg. He admitted 15 years ago to "grabbing women by the pussy," and with the evidence straight from the horse's mouth women have since come forward to corroborate the story. He commented on his own daughter, saying that "if she weren't my daughter I'd be dating her." He regularly rates women from 1-10, including Heidi Klum and the 16-year-old Greta Thunberg, whom he referred to as a "4." This is the least apalling sentiment against women Donald Trump holds, for he also made a menstruatuion joke targeting Megyn Kelly and called Rosie O'Donnell's face, "fat, ugly."

He has regularly opposed abortion even in cases of medical emergency, alongside other conservative Christian GOP members, saying that there should be punishment for the women. This sentiment has killed females who have had no choice but to receive back-alley abortions. He has also opposed maternity leave, calling it an "inconvenience" for business owners to offer basic human rights. He even came out against equal pay for women, choosing to imply that a wage gap doe not exist and saying, "you'll get paid the same for the same amount of work." His support base is even more apalling, saying Hillary Clinton lost because "she couldn't keep Bill happy, so how could she keep America happy?" a sexist remark implying women are somehow responsible for the morality of their husbands, a reminder of the Victorian Era opinion of women. When Trump appointed rapist Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, his supporters said, "He didn't do it, and even if he did, it was probably her fault." Another favorite is, "I can't see a woman being president."

America deserves better. Women deserve better than Donald Trump. Be sure to, as Abigail Adams said, "remember the ladies," in November. Even more details can be found in the article linked.
