Mandela Barnes Needs To Run For Senate In 2022
Ron Johnson is old, white, vulnerable, and unpopular among his constituents for embracing crazy conspiracy theories and fringe positions about Donald Trump, COVID-19, the 2020 election, Juneteenth, child sex abuse, the American Rescue Plan Act, the January 6th insurrection, and more. Mandela Barnes is the polar opposite. Noting Joe Biden's narrow Wisconsin victory in 2020, Barnes suggests the Democratic Party be more liberal and embrace bread-and-butter issues like Medicare For All. These ideas are popular among the black community (Biden is a more moderate politician and received a lower black turnout than Hillary Clinton did in 2016) and could serve, Barnes notes, to provide a more clear distinction between red and blue to garner support among rural voters; his open faith doesn't hurt, either. Barnes would also be the first black senator from Wisconsin, and, as a Milwaukee native and now a Madison political player, he, more than the current field of candidates, has what it takes to unseat Ron Johnson and give Wisconsin two Democratic senators.
This is not a theory from a board meeting; it seems to be working practically. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, an imposing blue-collar progressive and current lieutenant governor of his home state, currently leads in both the primary and general polls for the 2022 Senate race in this critical venue.
Mandela Barnes recently appointed several key election workers for his campaign, and this is good news. Now is the time! Mandela Barnes must run for U.S. Senate!!!
