With No Basis To Criticize Biden, FOX Resorts To Lies And Misinformation

Were it not for FOX News, we might be much closer to being out of this pandemic than we are now. FOX fired up political passions over what should be an apolitical issue-- staying home when possible, wearing a mask, and maintaining a distance of six feet. They made Trump surviving COVID seem the status quo instead of the miracle gifted by doctors and drugs it was. They promoted and continue to promote Ron Deathsantis and Greg Abbott as "geniuses" as the South is about to lose its healthcare system thanks to the virus, and they also promoted using sheep medicine to own the libs and prove that they're not sheep. Whose fault is this clear indicator that Republican rhetoric, bans on mask and vaccine mandates, and blatant misinformation are killing people. Well, last week Joe Biden had no control over Florida, according to DeSantis and FOX, but now he's to blame for everything.

This is the same network that embraced Donald Trump's election conspiracies, which claimed that Biden is an illegitimate president, until they were slapped with a multibillion-dollar slew of lawsuits. Maybe the families of people who died or the people who fell ill drinking Ivermectin should try the same thing. They deserve what they got for drinking the crap, but any lawsuit targeting FOX is one I'll support.

Gas prices? Their attempts to blame that on an end to leasing in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the 60-day ban on new oil and gas leases, the cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline, and the goal of cutting carbon emissions in half by 2030 was rated "pants on fire" by Politifact. Gas companies had to sell for cheap when Americans were staying home, and, now, as America gets back to work, they are at liberty to raise their prices to pre-pandemic levels.

Operation Allies Refuge, and Afghanistan as a whole? Tonight, I heard Peter Doocy ask Biden if he felt responsible for the death of 12 marines in an explosion at the airport in Kabul. He must have been shocked when Biden took responsibility for everything that happens while he is president, but his apparent attempt to credit Trump for his deal with the Taliban in 2020 while simultaneously blaming Biden for the Afghan military giving up after 11 days ignored the fact that it was ISIS-K, the sworn enemy of the Taliban, that conducted the attack. He compared apples to oranges, and it was quite embarrassing. I hate the Taliban, but describing the current relationship in the face of evacuations as "trust" is just wrong. Afghanistan and the world have changed a lot since 2001. The Taliban knows that America can inflict serious damage and that two generations of people, including women and girls, have gotten some form of Western-influenced education. They are still losing hundreds of fighters to local militia groups, and Western powers hold most of Afghanistan's economy in foreign banks. If they don't at least try to look like a group that wants America to leave safely, and if they don't at least pretend to care about human rights, they are screwed. At the end of the day, we are conducting the largest airlift in world history, and we've already gotten almost 125,000 people out.

How about defunding the police? This issue was especially humorous with Kamala, as FOX attempted to simultaneously portray her 30-year legal career in California as being both pro- and anti-police. The Democratic Party, as Biden himself has said several times, does not want to defund the police. There is a difference between cutting funding and securing reform and accountability. Police officers are people with a dangerous job, and they, as such, should be held accountable when they do wrong. Trump did not hold this view; he believed that the more cruelty was inflicted upon his political opponents, the better, and he tried to take it to the level of martial law. Democrats put this issue to bed for now last week, when all 50 Democrats voted for a measure in the budget resolution to punish localities who defund the police. An apparent attempt to prove Democrats wanted to defund the police, it obviously backfired miserably.

Joe Biden is a devout Catholic who attends mass weekly, and Chuck Schumer, who was the first Jewish Senate Minority Leader, is now the first Jewish Senate Majority Leader. Democrats also appointed the first male and female Jewish Supreme Court justices (the only two thus far), the first LGBTQ Jewish and female Jewish governors, and more. Still, according to FOX, Democrats are "anti-Semites" for seeking to find common ground between Israel and Palestine rather than blowing the latter off the face of the Earth. Still, according to FOX, Joe Biden hates Christianity while the gluttonous, genital-grabbing, golfer who cheated on his wives with paid pornographic prostitutes is the reincarnation of Christ.

FOX, with no basis to criticize Biden, has resorted to lies and misinformation. It's hardly new from the network that tried to sink Obama and failed miserably, but it's reprehensible nonetheless.
