Schizophrenic White Supremacist Arrested Outside DNC With Weapons Faces Two Years In Prison

Out of all the violent offenders arrested at the U.S. Capitol this year, Donald Craighead of Oceanside, California, has to be the most interesting, albeit in a disturbing sense. Born in 1977, Craighead has been homeless since since the mid-1990s, and, according to both his father and the Capitol police who would make him famous, he is schizophrenic. Said father, also named Donald Craighead, is 65, and he said he has tried interventions with his transient son multiple times, to no avail. He also said he did not believe his son to be political; apparently, however, he REALLY misjudged his son on that one.

Earlier this year, Craighead, Jr., decided he would take a trip across the country to see Washington, D.C., in person. He bought an old pickup truck in North Carolina on the way; the plates were reported stolen, and, as a result, the vehicle was impounded in Wise, Virginia. Craighead's father sent the entirety of his $1,200 stimulus check from March 2020 to get the truck out of impound, and the deranged man made some modifications on the way to the nation's capital.

Craighead has ties to the boogaloo movement, a far-right ideology that seeks a violent civil war in the United States, and he wore a shirt that proved it. That's why those modifications, the swastikas in the picture above, are, unfortunately, no surprise. His father even ADMITTED that he knew Craighead was a white supremacist. I don't care if he's your son: he's a white supremacist who is out of your life 90 percent of the time. I don't understand why you would send him the money to make it to D.C.

Craighead was stopped by Capitol police on the night of September 13th, 2021, because of the American flag symbol where a license plate should have been. Donald apparently said he was "on patrol" outside of the Democratic National Committee, which is barely a block from the Capitol building. Craighead claimed that he was having his magnetic frequency changed and that the "gays responsible for 9/11" were following him. He asked why he was pulled over when there were "brown people hurting white people," and was arrested after the poor responding officers found a machete and a bayonet, both of which are illegal in Washington, D.C.

His vehicle had other white supremacist symbols, including Odin's cross and Norse runes, as well as Civil war memorabilia. Craighead said that he was not a white supremacist, but that he was "okay with genocide against certain groups if they became brainwashed." Remember, this is the type of person that Donald Trump is trying to tell you is a political prisoner!

Craighead was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon; he faces up to a year behind bars for each count. According to his attorney, he has at least one violent act in his past and several other nonviolent crimes. This could impact his charges: if it is revealed that he is a convicted felon, he could face up to 20 years instead of two. The judge ordered him held without bond, and he remains behind bars to this day. I'm sorry, but a guy like this clearly cannot take care of himself, poses a threat to the community, and has committed crimes in the past, and, therefore, he should not be allowed out of a mental hospital ever again.

We will update you if charges are dismissed, amended, result in conviction, etc.
