Trump's Big Lie Continues To Fall Apart As His Social Media Launch Is A Massive Flop

Remember John Eastman? He spoke at the "Save America" rally on January 6th, which was immediately followed by the insurrection at the Capitol. Eastman was a member of Trump's "Kitchen Cabinet 2.0" in the final weeks of his presidency, which also included the likes of MyPillow Guy Mike Lindell. His memo, which claimed that Mike Pence had the authority to refuse to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election, was one of the main pieces of the insurrection puzzle. Eastman is facing the penalties he deserves. He resigned from Chapman University, where he taught law, a week later. Now, this month, bar officials are reviewing whether to revoke his license to practice law entirely. He's not just walking back his beliefs about January 6th, he's running them back. He has since admitted he believed there was no way Trump could have remained president. Still, contrary to his beliefs, that probably won't be enough to save this Rudy Giuliani-wannabe. He's still facing disbarment, and the January 6th Committee is preparing to subpoena him to testify before Congress. It's either he testifies about his actions, he takes the fifth and looks even more guilty, or he goes to jail.

Meanwhile, the nonpartisan audit, the real one conducted by Wisconsin's state government, found a total of just FOUR cases of illegal voting in the state. President Biden won the state by more than 21,000 votes. Robin Vos, the Wisconsin Assembly Speaker, is still pushing ahead with a phony "audit," similar to the one in Arizona, that was launched just hours after President Donald Trump criticized him for not doing enough to try to overturn the election. Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul will continue to fight him all the way.

How about in Nevada? Donald Kirk Hartle, a 55-year-old Republican, was the public face of the GOP's voter fraud allegations in Nevada. He claimed that someone had voted for his dead wife in the 2020 election and called it "sickening" and a likely indicator of a "pervasive problem" like the type he had been "hearing about on social media." More projection with GOP voters, it appears, as he was arrested after it was revealed that HE was the one who cast the ballot, not a Democrat. A Republican sending in the ballot of his wife, who had died of cancer four years prior, and lying about it for political gain has to be one of the most despicable things I've ever seen. After losing yet another lawsuit, it was also revealed that the Nevada GOP's claim of 1,056 absentee ballots being sent in by dead voters was actually just 10. Biden won the state by thousands of votes.

California, Wisconsin, Nevada, and even Pennsylvania. In the aftermath of the 2020 election, Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick offered a $1 million reward maximum for evidence of voter fraud. Welp, he paid out $25,000... to a progressive Democratic poll worker in Pennsylvania who turned in a Republican trying to vote twice. Eric Frank received the minimum payment amount for turning in a 72-year-old registered Republican and Trump supporter named Ralph Thurman. Thurman, and I kid you not, ASKED Frank if he could vote for his son. When Frank told him he couldn't, Thurman returned in a TRENCH COAT AND SUNGLASSES to vote as his middle-aged son. He, like Hartle in Nevada, has been charged with a felony. Frank says he intends to put a down payment on a house in the suburbs for his wife and young daughter.

At least Trump's post-presidential career is going well, right? Well, we won't talk about his many indictments and lawsuits, his horrid rating among historians, and his falling out of the Forbes 400, but we will talk about his sad attempts to stay relevant. His blogging career lasted all of 45 days when just 15,000 people of the 75 million who voted for him read it. So, like all the voters of his who can read? How about Gettr, his new app? I've only heard of it twice since its launch in June, and both times it was because of a major data breach. The first, and more severe, was when the personal information of nearly 90,000 users was leaked just days after its launch. The second, in August, leaked info from more than 75,000 users. Both times, their names, DOBs, addresses, and email addresses were leaked. While in the second case passwords were not leaked, they were in the first case. Trump's next plan? TRUTH SOCIAL!!! Praise the lord!!! He decided to use a template website that basically created an off-brand Twitter to launch his new social media platform. Ironically, the number-one rule for this "free speech site" is that you can't criticize and/or disagree with Trump. He gave a preview when it was announced the site would be slated for release in 2022, and this was used to hack the still-developing site. Trump's official account, for example, featured a picture of a defecating pig. But, yeah, he's not a joke.

I was driving through Green Bay, Wisconsin, yesterday, and I saw a sign urging God to save America from Trump not being president and telling Republicans to focus on 2020 first. Most Republicans still believe the election was stolen and may not vote in 2022 because of it. Let's hope. The Big Lie is still falling apart at an unprecedented rate, and the thought of Trump supporters holding their breath for four years makes me smile. Have a nice life, inbreds!
