Milwaukee's Unique Experience Hosting The DNC

Will Milwaukee host the 2024 Democratic National Convention? The question is up in the air, but the city's hosting of the 2020 convention was a unique experience, to say the least.

Originally intended to be the gathering site of the delegates, the coronavirus pandemic led to the event being downsized from 5,000 attendees to 250. Most of the speeches were given remotely. However, under the guidance of Wisconsin Democrats like Tony Evers, Mandela Barnes, Tom Barrett, and Gwen Moore, the city served as the hub for the event.

Although Milwaukee's experience hosting a major party convention was not ideal, there will never be anything like it again.
