Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows Were Leaders Of Attempted Bloodless Coup, Reporters Find

In a stunning turn of events, it has been revealed by reporting done by Politico and the Arizona Republic that was later broadcast by MSNBC, CNN, the Washington Post, and other major news media that a coup attempt was at the center of the buildup to January 6th, 2021. This so-called "Green Bay Sweep" went viral after top Trump advisers like Peter Navarro and Boris Epshteyn admitted on live TV to the coup attempt designed to force the results of the 2020 election to the House of Representatives, which would then hand the votes to Trump.

This is part of a series of revelations released in the past week after the Supreme Court denied Donald Trump's request to keep White House records from January 6th secret. It was revealed that Trump had written a draft executive order authorizing the military to seize voting machines and appointing "Kraken" attorney Sidney Powell to head a White House "election integrity" task force. Powell was not mentioned by name in this draft order, but it does mention the head as a "her." It was also revealed that a farewell address delivered by Trump was initially supposed to feature a line in which he stated that the "election fraud fight" was over; Trump chose not to deliver that line.

The biggest piece of news not enough Americans are talking about is the fraudulent elector scheme. It had been revealed that Rudy Giuliani and Mark Meadows were the two in charge of this scheme, directing state Republicans on how to commit conspiracy and fraud that are federal crimes punishable by up to 25 years in prison as well as crimes in every state. They presented themselves not as "alternative" electors as allowed by the Electoral Count Act, as Navarro claims, but as the "duly elected and qualified electors" for their home states, using identical language in each case. This is all the more reason Merrick Garland needs to indict Meadows for criminal contempt. Even more damning is the revelation that Meadows and Giuliani may have relayed these plans as far up the chain of command as the former president of the United States himself.

We previously stated that Dana Nessel, Hector Balderas, and Josh Kaul, the attorneys general of Michigan, New Mexico, and Wisconsin, respectively, had referred these cases to the DOJ for federal prosecution while Nessel announced a state criminal investigation. In just the past few days, it has been revealed that Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford has opened a criminal investigation into the case. Representative Mark Pocan has also asked the DOJ to prosecute Wisconsin's false electors and the Milwaukee DA has opened a state criminal investigation. Astoundingly, Arizona had not one, but TWO sets of false electors, one that matched the other states almost exactly and one that did not. In several states, electors had their names taken off of the fraudulent electoral votes because they believed what was happening was wrong and did not want to be a part of it. Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs was informed by the National Archives that they had received fake electoral votes from Arizona and that Hobbs responded by sending a cease-and-desist letter to the electors.

Here's what needs to happen next:
  1. Merrick Garland needs to charge Mark Meadows with criminal contempt.
  2. Senators Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff, Tammy Baldwin, Kyrsten Sinema, Mark Kelly, Debbie Stabenow, Gary Peters, Tom Udall, Martin Heinrich, Bob Casey, Pat Toomey, Jack Rosen, and Catherine Cortez Maso need to call for the DOJ to prosecute these electors, as do representatives from the states of Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona, Michigan, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Nevada.
  3. Republican Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich and Republican Georgia Attorney General Christopher M. Carr need to launch state investigations into their fraudulent electors.
  4. Merrick Garland needs to announce a federal investigation into the case to supersede any potential state charges.
What happened between November 2020 and January 2021 was nothing short of an attempted coup. It's time to start calling it what it is, and it's time to punish the estimated 100+ people who were involved in this fake elector plot.
