Kyle Rittenhouse Lies About Being Admitted to College... Again

November 19th, 2021 was a dark day, a day when the man who shot three people, two of them fatally, in Kenosha, the only acts of fatal violence that occurred in Kenosha in the summer of 2020, was acquitted by an all-white jury with a judge who was actively working in his defense throughout the trial after shedding a few crocodile tears on the stand. Gun rights activists and white supremacists (the Venn diagram here is basically a circle) applauded his acquittal. Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan, both sex offenders, offered Rittenhouse a job.

Kyle Rittenhouse could have chosen to disappear and try to lead as normal a life as possible for someone who had a highly-publicized murder trial at age 18 after taking the side of the Nazis who shot Jacob Blake, but no. When he was out on bond for some reason, drinking with his mom (the same mom who let him pick up an assault rifle in a different state) and flashing the "OK" white supremacist sign with Proud Boys, he got a brand deal with the Black Rifle Coffee Company and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in crowdfunded money on top of public appearances. Killing is profitable when you're a conservative.

Soon after his trial, on "Louder with Crowder," Rittenhouse claimed he was taking online classes at Arizona State University for the nursing program, which turned out to be a lie. A leopard never changes its spots, and, also on a right-wing podcast, this one belonging to Charlie Kirk, Rittenhouse claimed he was going to be going to Texas A and M University. He even wore a little Texas A and M hat and talked about how he liked the "beautiful campus" and "friendly people." According to Texas A and M, he is not enrolled in any classes for the summer or fall semesters. Set aside the murder acquittal for a second: lying about being enrolled in classes at a school in a very public way pretty much guarantees that you're not going to get in. Arizona State in 2021, Texas A and M in 2022. Where next? He seems to keep lying about going to college in various red-run swing states. Maybe in 2023 he'll lie about going to college in Florida or Georgia.

Ironically, this little lying loser is trying to sue President Biden and "the media" for defamation. He won't get very far. President Biden is president until at least 2025, which puts Kyle's little lawsuit off until then or until 2029. He won't get very far with "the media" either. I don't know who he intends to sue, but it is likely CNN and MSNBC. Every major media outlet has been sued and in virtually every case the lawsuit failed. I'm not arguing the media isn't incredibly biased, but unless they said something untrue about him with actual malice, he has no case. Calling someone a murderer when they have been charged with murder doesn't mean that you get to sue for defamation when you are acquitted. I believe that President Biden's suit would revolve around President Biden calling Rittenhouse a white supremacist. I don't even believe that one is untrue. Calling someone who shot two Black Lives Matter protestors upset about the shooting of a black man by a white police officer and then proceeded to make a white supremacist symbol with members of a designated hate group a white supremacist is the furthest thing from defamation. He has to know that, but he'll do anything to stay relevant.

I'm expanding my work to tackle issues right here in Wisconsin, from my series profiling a literal Nazi in Appleton to a sovereign citizen in Green Bay to prominent conservative child molesters across the state with my "Dairy State Degenerates" project to the Kenosha Police Department and now the Kenosha Killer: Kyle Rittenhouse. That's on top of my work to expand unionization and combat climate change here in America's Dairyland as well as to reelect Governor Evers, defeat Ron Johnson, and secure a liberal majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Wherever you live, you can take action and make a difference, too. The future of America is too important to sit on the sidelines.
