John Fetterman Emerges as President Biden's Chief Senate Defender

Immediately after President Biden's poor performance at the CNN debate last June, even after polling showed the debate did practically nothing to change the forecast of the 2024 election in favor of either candidate, the legacy media went wild. I've already highlighted the likes of former CNN contributor Brian Stelter attributing Biden signing a landmark Parkinson's bill to some sort of coverup, and the New York Times ran with a story falsely suggesting Biden suffers from Parkinson's in spite of a clean bill of health from a neurologist. Trump was exposed in the Epstein files some 70 times, the Supreme Court ruled presidents have "absolute immunity" for official acts, and the true details of Project 2025 seeped into the public awareness, all with relatively little coverage by the same companies propping up an artificial frenzy, the same so-called journalists who value dollar signs and eyeballs over truth and transparency and would gladly forsake the latter in favor of the former.

Senator John Fetterman had one message for Democrats hours after the debate: "Chill the fuck out." Fetterman was projected to lose his Senate race by two points but wound up winning by five just weeks after his own disastrous debate performance. Fetterman, who had just left the hospital after a stroke, could hardly put together a sentence throughout the whole of his debate. I think part of the reason the media is so attached to this nothingburger is that they realize it's no longer the 1980s, when what Americans watched on cable news informed them rather than what's on social media, and they're desperately trying to pretend that they still have the same kind of influence as they did then. Another reason may simply be that they're corporations set on making money, and Donald Trump creates good headlines.

In any case, they haven't let up in their "reporting," and John Fetterman, more than anyone else in Washington, hasn't let up in his defense of President Biden. In Philadelphia, Fetterman correctly declared President Biden to be the only person "that's kicked Trump's ass in an election," a message he reiterated in a fundraising email for the 46th president the next day. In another email on July 12th, Fetterman said, "President Biden has repeatedly shown us what a true President [sic] looks like; and he-- for sure-- looks a whole lot better than the convicted felon he is running against."

In a July 8th interview on FOX News, Fetterman flipped the script on the host, turning a question about President Biden into one about President Trump and Project 2025. When asked about Biden's electoral chances the following day, Fetterman replied, "Maybe we can encourage President Biden to bang a porn star." That day, he slammed another billionaire-run "news outlet," replying to a headline by the New York Times with, "when journalism becomes vendetta." Yet again on July 9th, he appeared on a new program, this time MSNBC, and called a percentage of his colleagues calling on Biden to step down "bizarre." On July 11th, he reiterated, "I'm 150 percent all-in for Joe Biden."

Other prominent Democrats, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, have come to President Biden's defense. However, none have done so as consistently and as forcefully and with such a signature style as has the junior senator from Pennsylvania. To support President Biden, click here.
