Wisconsin Radio Host Who Mocked Gus Walz Says Doug Emhoff Is A Gay Mental Patient

     Let me start off by saying that people like Jay Weber do NOT represent Wisconsin. Since 2018, we've elected and re-elected Governor Tony Evers, helped President Biden win the White House in 2020, and flipped the Wisconsin Supreme Court liberal for the first time in over 15 years. This last point, in turn, has led to Wisconsin's heavily-gerrymandered legislative maps being overturned, meaning the races for the state and national legislatures will be the first truly competitive ones in over a decade. Every single state-level officeholder in Wisconsin is a Democrat.

     Jay Weber is still technically a host at 1130 WISN, a Milwaukee-area radio station. Milwaukee is the most liberal area of Wisconsin next to Madison. However, his success in Milwaukee is simple math. With a population of 600,000 people, if only one in four people agree with your disgusting stances, that's still 150,000 people who agree with you. He could set up shop in a rural county where four in five people agree with him, but four in five out of ten thousand is comparatively nothing. It's a simple game of numbers; in conservative media, pushback is normally just an occupational hazard.

     That all changed for Jay Weber on August 22nd, 2024. I won't get into the disgusting specifics of what he said, especially considering that it has been repeated many times over the past few weeks. However, I will say that he attacked Governor Walz's 17-year-old son Gus, who is neurodivergent and has a learning disability, for crying and saying, "That's my dad," at the DNC. It is really irrelevant that Gus has a learning disability: the fact that he is under 18 means he should be off limits, especially considering that people took attacks against Trump's adult children, who HELD POSITIONS in the White House, as going too far. That fact merely makes it worse. It shouldn't even matter that Gus is a kid. He could be 47 and I would still feel the same way. Implying that somebody is not a man because they cry or are proud of somebody is really a sad way to live your life.

     Jay Weber tweeted that he "didn't realize the kid was disabled," which was a non-apology. He was forced to release an actual apology as the backlash mounted. He stated that, "having been a teacher, I've had a standard of never involving children." Except, as you'd expect for someone who fancies himself a shock jock in the style of the people who called Chelsea Clinton a "White House dog," that's not true. One tweet attacking Malia Obama came very close, and another broke his rule outright. In 2016, he referenced a newly-18-year-old Malia Obama "twerking" in a video. She was technically not a child at the time, but a middle-aged man and former teacher sexualizing a teenager is creepy, and it raises serious questions about his conduct in the classroom. A 2015 tweet about Malia arguably went even further. Malia was 16 at the time, and Weber shared an article about someone offering 50 cows, 70 sheep, and 30 goats to marry Malia. He called it "not a bad deal," apparently equating Malia, who is black, to an animal. So, in addition to tweeting about a teenage Malia's behind and making a post with serious racial undertones, he also evidently endorses child marriage.

     This isn't even the end of it, and it goes to show why this should not be an "I'm sorry, now give me my job back" moment for Jay Weber. On August 22nd, 2024, on the same day Weber mocked Gus Walz, he tweeted, "On top of everything else, the DNC dems [sic] and their media accomplices are trying to redefine masculinity by insisting -as Doug Emhoff and Tim Walz flit across the stage like RuPaul and wave like mental patients at a parade, they are Today's Man [sic]. Not hardly [sic]."

     A few things jump out at me about that statement. What kind of parade has Jay been to where they bring out mental patients to wave at a crowd? What did he teach, considering the numerous grammatical errors he made? Happiness makes a man gay? Is he just jealous that Tim and Doug can actually move and don't have profile pictures from circa 2006, or is he just jealous that the people he hates are actually important people? 

     This is a clear pattern for Jay. He is a creepy, racist, overweight man who attacks children and hates the very ideas of love, compassion, and hope. Quite, simply, as a certain governor would say, Jay Weber is weird.
