Americans Should Rally to Stop A Vice President Vance

Image
Sarah Palin is breathing a huge sigh of relief right now, because her legacy as the worst VP pick of the 21st century is fading by the hour. Donald Trump picked JD Vance with the goal of shoring up his MAGA base under the assumption that he would win easily against President Biden in November. When President Biden dropped out of the race earlier this month, the political world was altered dramatically, and the Democratic rally in support of Vice President Harris only served to bring more attention to JD Vance, who, as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has said, is simply weird.      Vance's problems began in earnest two weeks ago, when Vance became the subject of rumors that he described having intercourse with a couch. Whether it's true or not is irrelevant in situations like this: the fact that it is so believable is enough to keep it going. AP fact-checked the claim before removing the fact check, because, as people have pointed out, it is impossible to prove a negative, name

Help Dems Take Back the House

Image
The 2024 election is the final showdown, America's chance to defeat Donald Trump and Project 2025 once and for all. President Biden just proposed historic Supreme Court reform ; the next president will have the chance to appoint one to three Supreme Court justices and fill federal judicial vacancies; and Donald Trump and JD Vance are continually promising to end American democracy, to restore the spoils system of the 1820s, and to be a "dictator" and ensure that Americans "won't have to vote again."      In addition to the presidential race, every House seat as well as a crucial slate of Senate seats are at stake, which will determine who the next president will be able to appoint to courts and federal agencies as well as what legislation and executive actions they will be able to pass and whether or not they can be held accountable for any actions they take. The House is Republican-majority by just a few seats, and winning these seats alone would help

Here's Why Governor Roy Cooper Is On Kamala Harris's VP Shortlist

Image
Earlier this week, Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign confirmed that her choice for a running mate in her 2024 presidential election bid is down to three top contenders : North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona, and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. This post will highlight why Cooper is among those three.       The best place to start in understanding this is North Carolina itself. The state went to Donald Trump in 2020 by just 1.4 percentage points. It is the most gerrymandered in the country, with a Democratic governor for nearly the entirety of the past century: only one Republican governor has been elected to two full terms in the history of North Carolina. At the same time, it has two Republican senators and a Republican supermajority in the legislature. This year, North Carolina is home to the most significant gubernatorial race in the country, pitting North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein against Republican Lieutenant Governor Mar

Attacks on Kamala Harris as a "DEI Hire" Rooted in Racism and Sexism

Image
A tired line against Kamala Harris that has been trotted out by the far-right to oppose her candidacy for president is that she is a "DEI hire." It's a repackaging of their attacks on President Obama in 2008. Obama was the editor of the Harvard Law Review , a civil rights attorney, a constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago, a member of the Illinois Senate, a U.S. senator from Illinois, the keynote speaker at the 2004 DNC, and a published author. They claimed he was unqualified to be president, and yet they nominated a washed-up reality show host with no qualifications.      I've already highlighted Kamala Harris's record , but, in short, she was a prosecuting attorney from 1990 to 2004, the DA of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011, the attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017, a senator from California from 2017 to 2021, and the vice president of the United States from 2021 to 2025. That's an even more impressive record than Preside

Kamala Harris Narrows Down Her VP Choices to Three

Image
Kamala Harris has brought a wave of new excitement to the 2024 election. Trump is running scared from a debate, the Harris campaign broke Zoom with the largest call in history, more than 100,000 volunteers have signed up in the past week, and ActBlue has raised nearly a quarter of a billion dollars this week in what is on track to be the best fundraising week in Democratic Party history.      Adding to this excitement and this optimism is the selection of a running mate for Vice President Harris. There are a lot of great candidates , and I've highlighted many of them, including Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear . As we expect a selection within the coming days, sources close to the Harris campaign have confirmed to MSNBC that the choices have been whittled down to three men: Governor Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, Governor Roy Cooper of North Carolina, and Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona.       Notably, these are the three men I highlighted as the most likely choices a number of day

Here's Why Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear Is On Kamala Harris's VP Shortlist

Image
The 2024 Democratic primary is in full swing. Vice President Kamala Harris is now the presumptive nominee, gathering the necessary delegates to win next month. Enthusiasm for her campaign is continuing to grow at a pace not seen since Obama ran in 2008: in just four days, Harris has raised over $200 million and recruited some 100,000 new volunteers. Now, the big question is who her running mate will be. I've created a list of possibilities that are most likely.      Harris's campaign has rapidly unified and energized the Democratic Party. Her selection of a running mate is a very good problem for Democrats to have: there are too many choices, too many good people who would make great vice presidents. As Vice President Harris continues to make her decision and vet potential running mates, I've decided to highlight some of the men and women on the shortlist and help garner support for their respective state Democratic Parties. First up is Kentucky Governor Andy Beshea

Harris Raises $40 Million In Third Day of Campaign

Image
What a 72 hours! 72 hours ago, Democrats were demoralized and disorganized, and Donald Trump seemed to be a shoo-in to the White House. Now, Democrats are on track to have the best campaign week in party history. In the first two days of her campaign, Harris raised more than $130 million, and, in day three, she raised $40 million. Fundraising will likely continue to be in the tens of millions for days to come.       Donald Trump had emerged with a fundraising lead over President Biden after his conviction on 34 felony charges as well as the assassination attempt on him in Butler, Pennsylvania, in addition to the aftermath of Biden's poor debate performance and Trump's selection of JD Vance as a running mate. Now, in the course of one week, Vice President Harris seems poised to eliminate an advantage that took the Trump campaign months of climbing and crawling to achieve. The campaign is actually going to the FEC to try to block Harris from inheriting $240 million of Biden-

Kamala Harris' Record of Public Service

Image
Just as President Biden brought a lifetime of public service to counteract the rookie former president with nothing but four years of hate and division to show, Vice President Harris brings a lifetime of public service as a prosecutor to bear against a running mate who is now an adjudged rapist and liar, a man found liable for charitable and financial fraud, and a convicted felon.      That may be the key to Kamala Harris's campaign as it has been the key to every position she has held in public life. A prosecutor is who she has always been. She served as a prosecutor and city attorney from 1990 to 2004, the San Francisco DA from 2004 to 2011, the attorney general for California from 2011 to 2017, a U.S. Senator from 2017 to 2021, and vice president since 2021.      Here are some highlights of her 35 years of public service: 2004: Sought higher bail for gun-related defendants, tightened loopholes used by defendants, sought minimum sentences in gun cases, and set up a gun crime

Here's Who Could Be Vice President to Kamala Harris

Image
Whichever name lands next to Kamala Harris's on the 2024 Democratic ticket, Harris can rest easily knowing that she has the opposite problem Donald Trump had in selecting a running mate. Trump only had to pick a new running mate because the mob he's been charged with felonies for sending to the Capitol tried to hang his last one, and his selection came down to a self-proclaimed hillbilly Trump believed to be the least mediocre of the former never-Trumpers who had since kissed his ring for the sake of political expediency.      Harris, on the other hand, has a long list of possible candidates, each of whom would add to her chances of winning, chances that have already climbed drastically with the donation of nearly $200 million in less than 72 hours by hundreds of thousands of donors as well as the addition of tens of thousands of new volunteers in the same timeframe. The candidates, ranked in my view of their likelihood of being selected, are listed below: Josh Shapiro is

Kamala Harris' Campaign Already Shattering Records

Image
The 2024 campaign has been the most historic in modern history. It started out as a rematch between President Biden and former president Donald Trump. Trump has been found liable for sexual abuse, defamation, and fraud, and, in May, he was convicted of 34 felony counts of falsification of business records; sentencing is set for September. Trump was shot in the ear at a campaign event in Pennsylvania in the first shooting of a president since 1981 in July, and, following a poor debate performance in late June, President Biden became the first incumbent president since 1968 to not seek re-election. He is also the first president in American history to bow out of the race after he had won his party's nomination, and I believe this will actually help the president's already-impressive legacy. His choice may be the most selfless political decision made by any political figure since George Washington set the two-term precedent in 1796.      In less than 48 hours, Vice Presiden

President Biden's Perfect Handling of the Trump Shooting Demonstrates His Commitment to Defending Democracy.

Image
Well, that was fast. After spending more than two weeks attacking Joe Biden as too old and feeble to run the country, unable to string together a complete sentence, inciting panic among gullible congressional Democrats and then reporting on that feedback as news, the media is now accusing President Biden of being a full-throated stochastic terrorist after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.      The fact that the shooter was described as a conservative and a loner of full Columbine style by his classmates? So what? The fact that he was wearing a shirt for a popular pro-2A YouTube channel? Never heard of it. The fact that Donald Trump had pledged to make an announcement that would "strike fear into the hearts of deep state enemies" that night? Irrelevant. Let's just report on a 69-year-old man from Pittsburgh who shares the same name as the assassin making a $15 contribution to ActBlue on January 20th, 2021, to paint him as some left-wing lunatic. Seriously

Louisiana Woman Who Suffered Miscarriages Appears in POWERFUL Pro-Biden Ads

Image
Donald Trump killed Roe v. Wade . He bragged about it during the debate and lied over and over again, falsely claiming that "every" legal scholar agreed that it should be overturned and that "everyone" was happy with reproductive healthcare decisions being made by the states. He can try to run from his connections to Project 2025 and its call for a total abortion ban nationwide, and he can try to temper the anti-abortion extremists at the RNC, but Donald Trump's Supreme Court justices are already creating pain in the lives of hundreds of thousands of American women.       Kaitlyn Joshua of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is one of those women, and she attended the 2024 State of the Union for all the wrong reasons. At 11 weeks, she miscarried. Because Donald Trump's justices overturned Roe v. Wade , she was denied care at two emergency rooms after Louisiana passed a restrictive abortion ban. In one  ad, called "Criminal Actions," Joshua points out one

JRB Has the Most Impressive Agenda Since LBJ.

When President Biden took office, a pandemic that killed well over a million Americans was raging throughout the country. The tide began to shift when President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act and a series of executive actions that got the pandemic under control and created 16 million jobs, the most of any president in one term in U.S. history.      That was just the beginning. Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which made the largest investment in infrastructure since the Eisenhower administration and included historic investments in areas such as environmental restoration, clean water, rural electrification, clean energy, public transport, and more. The CHIPS and Science Act came soon after and helped spur the creation of the highest number of manufacturing jobs in decades, including half a million jobs in the auto industry. Small businesses have had their three best years in modern history. Stocks are at record highs. Black unemployment hit a re

Summit County Church Embraces January 6th Insurrectionists With Open Arms

Image
John Douglas Wright and Clayton Norris are two domestic extremists who played significant roles in the insurrection on January 6th. Wright organized two busloads of 100 Trump supporters to ride to the Capitol that day, and he and Norris (who allegedly had online chats about bringing chemical spray to the Capitol) both led a breach of police barricades early in the sequence of events that transpired. Norris also used a megaphone to incite the mob to violence that day. Wright is serving a 49-month prison sentence through July 2026 at the FCI in Elkton after pleading guilty to a felony charge, while Norris is awaiting trial on his own felony and misdemeanor charges that could send him to prison for up to five years.      These two are well-established within the white supremacist and anti-government movements of Northeast Ohio, as I mentioned in my previous article in the "Liberty Valley" series. The Liberty Valley Church is not really a church, but a political advocacy gr

John Fetterman Emerges as President Biden's Chief Senate Defender

Image
Immediately after President Biden's poor performance at the CNN debate last June, even after polling showed the debate did practically nothing to change the forecast of the 2024 election in favor of either candidate, the legacy media went wild. I've already highlighted the likes of former CNN contributor Brian Stelter attributing Biden signing a landmark Parkinson's bill to some sort of coverup, and the New York Times ran with a story falsely suggesting Biden suffers from Parkinson's in spite of a clean bill of health from a neurologist. Trump was exposed in the Epstein files some 70 times, the Supreme Court ruled presidents have "absolute immunity" for official acts, and the true details of Project 2025 seeped into the public awareness, all with relatively little coverage by the same companies propping up an artificial frenzy, the same so-called journalists who value dollar signs and eyeballs over truth and transparency and would gladly forsake the latt

Michigan Sheriff Known for Predator Stings, Peaceful Protests Appears in January 6th-Focused Biden Ad

Image
Sheriff Chris Swanson's story is one of worlds colliding for me. I run a project called " Dairy State Degenerates " that works to expose and stop child predators, and one of the people frequently highlighted in my posts is Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson, who went viral as a new sheriff in 2020 for peacefully walking with Black Lives Matter protestors. Swanson furthered his profile with a series of predator stings that has netted some 200 predators in the past four years, several of which he did alongside Chris Hansen of To Catch a Predator.       Now Sheriff Swanson, who previously considered a run for Congress, has appeared in an ad for President Biden. In the ad, Swanson endorsed President Biden and criticized Donald Trump for sowing division in the country. Swanson also criticized Trump for failing in his duty to support and defend the Constitution on January 6th and pinned the injuries sustained by 140 police officers that day on Trump.      The ad, called
